I spent 6 months farming and documented it all to show what modern farming is really like.
This video took me a year to make.
This has to be my favorite video I’ve ever made (and also the hardest one to make).
After John Deere brought me and some other creators to various farms over the last few years, one thing was clear to me—farming was so much more intricate than I thought and I needed to know more.
So, I asked John Deere to let me farm some land myself and document it all to learn and show others what really goes into modern farming and, miraculously, they said yes.
I had 20 acres to attempt to grow corn on and see if, maybe, just maybe, I could even turn a profit.
After 6 months of farming, from tilling to planting to spraying to harvesting and ultimately selling my corn and months more of sitting at my computer going through all of the footage, syncing audio, putting in clips, writing and recording voice overs and cutting the footage down (again and again), and adding music, the video is finally done.
I’d love it if you would watch it and let me know what you think.
Thanks for following along and hope you enjoy the video 🙏
I think that was a great overview of farming but I don't think it was all that realistic except for our enormous farms. C'mon out and I'll show you how hard it really is to produce a crop, using the modern farm of circa 1980s... ;)
